I write about trans and femboy characters on AI companion platforms. It is a fast-growing corner of the market and one where the quality gap is huge: some apps have real options in their builders and image models, others only get there through prompt workarounds that break halfway through a chat.
When I test an app I look at three things. Can I create the character I want without fighting the builder? Does the chat keep the character consistent and treat them with some respect? And do the generated images actually match the character? I keep my prompts and settings in my notes so readers can repeat what I did.
I want readers to land on an app that fits what they are looking for, without wasting a subscription finding out.
